Ingredients & Method

Everything you need, step-by-step.

This Thai classic is often eaten for breakfast or lunch. My and my wife enjoy this every 1-2 weeks as its so quick, easy and delicious!

Ingredients

2tbsp oil

500g pork mince (20% fat)

6 garlic cloves, finely chopped

6 spicy chillies, finely chopped

3tbsp oyster sauce

1tbsp soy sauce

1tsp kecap manis (optional)

Handful of Thai basil leaves

Method

  1. Get your pan nice and hot and quickly fry the garlic and chillies in the oil.
  2. Add the pork mince and cook through, breaking down any lumps.
  3. Add in the oyster sauce, soy sauce and kecap manis and cook for another couple of minutes.
  4. Stir in the Thai basil and remove from the heat.

Chef’s Notes

  • I like to serve this with some Jasmine rice, topped with a fried egg
